Neighborhood Watch

Call or Text 911 in the event of a life-threatening emergency.

If you see anything suspicious, call the non-emergency number at 703-691-2131.

BBHCA is currently a passive (nonmember) participant of Neighborhood Watch. However, we are an active presence. If interested in learning about participating, please send an email to bbhca2022@gmail.com or sign up for the next training class below.

Training by the Fairfax County Police Dept is required to serve as a Neighborhood Watch participant.

The one-hour training session will instruct residents in the do’s and don’ts of active observation during your usual walks and drives around the neighborhood. By honing your observation skills, you will become more attuned to things that are out of the ordinary.

You also will learn what and how to share your observations with police. We know our neighborhood best and we serve as a key source of information for police in investigations.

Most importantly, our role is to observe; we do not engage. Never approach or confront an individual who is acting suspiciously; that is the role of police who are trained to access resources and take necessary action.

The next online live training session will take place:
August 2023 at 7:00 pm
Length: 1 hour
